Dr Abdelrazek Abdelrazzak

Research

My research focuses on investigating the biological effects of ionising radiation, including γ-radiation, x-rays, ultrasoft x-ray and α-particle radiation, at the cellular and molecular levels with special interest in low-dose radiation. My research also includes studying the intercellular signalling mechanisms of the radiation associated phenomena of bystander effects, abscopal effects and adaptive response using various molecular and physical techniques. We also try to understand the the role of cytokines and reactive species in modulating the effects of ionising radiation.

AfOx Fellowship

Abdelrazek Abdelrazzak was an AfOx-Collaborative Fellow in 2018.

During his 8 week AfOx fellowship in 2018, Abdelrazek was hosted by the Department of Oncology and Jesus College.
