Adenike Adekanmbi

Adenike Adekanmbi is a Nigerian-trained lawyer currently pursuing a Master of Science in Law and Finance at the Faculty of Law, University of Oxford. She is a Mastercard Foundation AfOx Scholar and a member of University College.

Before joining Oxford, Adenike worked as an associate at Olaniwun Ajayi LP, a leading law firm in Nigeria. She advised fintech companies on deploying payment products to promote financial inclusion and cross-border trade. Additionally, she supported local and international tech firms in raising capital and expanding into Nigeria. Adenike also contributed to policy advocacy for startup businesses through her volunteer work with the Nigeria Startup Act Secretariat.

Adenike graduated with first-class honours in law from the University of Ibadan. In 2018, she was named a Nigeria Higher Education Foundation Scholar, and in 2020, she received the Professor C.S. Ola award as the best graduating student in company law.

After completing her studies at Oxford, Adenike plans to help corporations navigate complex international transactions and regulatory frameworks, with a focus on financial institutions and their role in promoting cross-border trade and economic integration in Africa.
