Malawi

Chifundo is a Senior Medical Officer for the Ministry of Health in Malawi. She is interested in health innovation. Chifundo has worked with Operation Smile Global Inc as a Global Surgery Fellow and Medical Advisor. She has also worked as a research associate with the Research department in the Ministry of Health where she spearheaded some of the national research projects on the COVID-19 pandemic in Malawi.

Chifundo studied for her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degrees at the College of Medicine in Malawi.  Chifundo will be studying an MSc in International Health program at the University of Oxford. After her studies, she intends to support both African and global initiatives toward health systems development.
