Ebenezer Abdul-Hakim Agetiba

Ebenezer Abdul-Hakim Agetiba will study for the MSc African Studies at Somerville College. Before coming to Oxford Ebenezer studied political science and philosophy at the University of Ghana where he received the Vice Chancellor’s academic award for the best graduating student with visual impairment in 2020. A passionate and enthusiastic advocate for the power of mentorship to transform lives Ebenezer has served as a volunteer, helping students, particularly students with disability to realize their academic dreams through coaching and supporting with tuition.

Following his studies in Oxford Ebenezer aims to work for the social, political and economic inclusion of persons with disability in Ghanaian public and political life. Alongside his interest in disability and representation Ebenezer is committed to working on peace and reconciliation in the Northern Ghana, where there is violent interethnic conflict.
