Flora Assenga is a quantitative researcher. Flora is pursuing an MSc in Mathematical and Computational Finance at the University of Oxford. She is a Standard Bank Africa Chairman scholar and member of Linacre College.

Flora earned her BSc in Mathematics from the University of Liverpool. 

Her future goal is to address real-life challenges through projects focused on sustainable finance, climate risk assessment, and environmental economics. Specifically, she wants to focus on African economies and their financial systems. Flora envisions her expertise in quantitative finance becoming a powerful tool in the fight against climate change in Africa by developing models that support decision-making processes and contributing to reputable journals and conferences around financial modelling.
