George Murichu is studying for a Master of Studies in Theology (Religion and Science) at the Faculty of Theology and Religion, University of Oxford. He is a Mastercard Foundation AfOx Scholar and a member of Mansfield College.

George has over a decade of leadership experience in pastoral ministry, serving as Deputy Senior Pastor and Youth Coordinator at Christ Is the Answer Ministries (CITAM). He is also a skilled content creator, leveraging his communication expertise as a radio show host, youth show producer, and online culture influencer. His work consistently highlights the challenges faced by communities in the developing world, driving his commitment to combining theological insights with psychological approaches to promote human flourishing.

George’s research interests include trauma theology, multifarious trauma, its expressions across generations, and its prevalence in Global South religious spaces.

He began his academic journey with a Bachelor of Psychology (First Class Honours) from the University of Nairobi and later earned a Master of Divinity in Biblical Studies from Africa International University.

Following his studies at Oxford, George plans to pursue a doctorate focusing on the intersection of church and public engagement in Africa. He aims to become a thought leader in this field, fostering resilience and human dignity in the face of contemporary challenges, including the rise of artificial intelligence.
