Lilette Mika Kayiranga is a Rwandan pharmacist and Mastercard Foundation Scholar pursuing an MSc in International Health and Tropical Medicine at the University of Oxford and is a member of Lady Margaret Hall. She is passionate about strengthening health systems in resource-limited settings, with a focus on pharmaceutical systems, local drug manufacturing, and medicine security.

Mika holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana, where she was recognised as the Dean’s Best Performing International Student for the 2019/2020 academic year.

Before joining Oxford, she worked as a Project Advisor at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit in Rwanda, supporting the growth of Rwanda’s pharmaceutical and biotechnology sector through policy implementation, investment promotion, stakeholder engagement, and regulatory strengthening.

Drawing on academic and professional experience across Rwanda, Ghana, and international development, Mika is committed to advancing resilient pharmaceutical systems and translating research into policies that improve medicine security and equitable access to quality healthcare in Africa.
