Margeaux Wassenaar is a candidate attorney and currently studying for a Bachelor of Civil Law (BCL) at the Faculty of Law, University of Oxford. She is a Skye Foundation-Oppenheimer Scholar and a member of Lady Margaret Hall.

Margeaux graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Law and a Bachelor of Laws from Stellenbosch University. During her time there, she served as a student leader and was awarded the Rector's Award for Excellent Achievement in Leadership. She has also participated in various moot court competitions, including winning the 31st Christof Heyns African Human Rights Moot Court Competition in Egypt. Her research interests include socio-economic rights, corporate governance, and accountability for human rights violations. She has published research on remedies for human rights violations in South Africa.

At Oxford, Margeaux is focused on expanding her expertise in Business and Human Rights, with a particular interest in addressing the social impacts of corporate activities in the Global South. She aims to contribute to shaping policies that promote sustainable investment and the protection of human rights.
