Mariah Josephine Dzide-Richman

Mariah Josephine Dzide-Richman is a development professional and researcher with a focus on education, youth-led climate action, and gender equality in West Africa. She has championed education for impact as a seasoned international educator at SOS-Hermann Gmeiner International College in Ghana, nurturing learning environments for students from diverse and under-resourced communities across Africa, and leading school exchange programmes. She has also advanced gender equality and strengthened education systems through her work managing NGO and Ministry of Education initiatives in Ghana, including projects on school licensing, education policy, and development programmes with Oxfam and Zonta International, building her expertise in multi-stakeholder engagement and programme coordination.

Mariah recently graduated with an MPhil in Development Studies from the University of Oxford. She currently contributes to AfOx’s 10th anniversary celebrations, coordinating logistics and key operational elements to ensure the success of this landmark programme. Her work continues to advance inclusive and equitable approaches to education, youth climate action, and gender justice in Africa.
