Mosebetsi Khobotlo is pursuing an MSc in Global Governance and Diplomacy at the University of Oxford. She is a Mastercard Foundation AfOx Scholar and a member of St Cross College.

Mosebetsi is the founder of an EdTech nonprofit focused on providing inclusive online education for secondary school students. She has experience as a policy analysis intern, research assistant, assistant lecturer, and rapporteur, and is passionate about digital economies, telecommunications governance, public policy, and climate and education diplomacy.

She graduated with distinction from the University of Pretoria, earning a Bachelor of Political Science with majors in Political Studies, International Relations, and Public Administration. As a Mastercard Foundation Scholar, she graduated top of her class with cum laude honours, receiving multiple distinctions and awards, including the CF Nieuwoudt Award for Best Third-Year Student in International Relations. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts Honours in International Relations with distinction, having authored a 10,000-word research report on the African Union’s anti-coup norms.

Her non-academic achievements include winning an intervarsity essay contest between South African and Swedish universities and being part of the first cohort of the Jim Leech Mastercard Foundation Fellows on Entrepreneurship. She also participated in the Climate Diplomacy Academy.
