Nosiba Abd Elhaleem

Nosiba Abd Elhaleem obtained her BSc and MSc in Medical Laboratory Sciences, specializing in Histopathology and Cytology, from the University of Khartoum. Following her studies, she worked as a teaching assistant at several universities in Sudan, including the University of Khartoum, Sudan International University, Elrazi University, University of Science & Technology, and El-neelain University as a part-time lecturer. During her BSc research, she developed a keen interest in cancer research, women's health, and international human rights.

As a passionate researcher in cancer, she firmly believes that research has the power to transform our lives. However, working in low-income settings has shown her the numerous challenges that researchers face. This realization motivated her to become an advocate for cancer research and establish a program called HOPE for Women which aims to reduce the burden of cervical cancer in Sudan and promote research among the younger generation of the country.

Studying the MSc in precision cancer medicine will help her expand her knowledge of early cancer detection, broaden her clinical expertise, and provide opportunities to collaborate with different research projects at Oxford.

Her ultimate goal is to bring advanced technologies for cancer diagnosis and treatment to Africa at an affordable price, allowing more patients to access high-quality
