Onesmus Onyango is pursuing an MSc in International Health and Tropical Medicine at the Nuffield Department of Clinical Medicine ,University of Oxford. He is a Mastercard Foundation AfOx Scholar and a member of Green Templeton College.

A clinical researcher from Kenya with a BSc in Nursing from Moi University, Onesmus is committed to strengthening health systems and shaping health policy in developing contexts. With over six years of experience, his career has been defined by a blend of professional training, volunteer work, and participation in conferences and workshops. He has worked in various roles, including Nursing Officer, Research Nurse, and Assistant Research Officer at the KEMRI-Wellcome Trust Research Program. In his previous role, he contributed to projects such as POETIC-COVID and HIGH-Q, which focused on essential treatments during the COVID-19 pandemic and global health innovation.

Onesmus is passionate about mentorship and co-founded Enabling Africa Clinical Health (E.A.C.H) Research, a platform supporting young researchers.

After completing his MSc, he plans to collaborate with research organizations and Kenya's Ministry of Health, while pursuing doctoral studies to advance his research career.
